Vanilla Sponge Cake

DIRECTIONS

  1. Sift the flour and baking powder together, set aside.
  2. Cream margarine and sugar until foamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time to the margarine mixture and mix well.
  4. Add the vanilla essence and mix.
  5. Add sifted flour and milk and mix until smooth.
  6. Add mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Place dish into preheated Salton Convection
  8. Oven, 180’c and bake for 1 hour – 1hour 10 min.
  9. Remove the cake from the oven once baked.
  10. Allow to cool.
  11. Slice cake and a filling of choice or sliced strawberries.
  12. Serve with icing or icing sugar over.
